About Sagar College

Sagar Collge of Science is the first residential college in Nothern Odisha. It has consistently been adjudged as the best residential college for five consecutive years in terms of +2 result since its inception in 2006. It has the best state-of-the-art facilities with A/C classrooms , CCTV cameras, exhaustive library , best laboratories; all present on a sprawling lush green 5acres of land. Separate in-campus hostel facilties are available for boys and girls. Apart from the regular +2 and entrance classes, we provide Summer Course to the students. 24*7 faculty guidance is available to the students for doubt-clearance in the hostels. Proper care is taken to make the stay comfortable for the students. The college has officially ties up with Aakash Institute for providing entrance coaching from the very first day of admission.

The college has been constantly trying to achieve excellence in the field of +2 education and entrance as well. We always endeavour to maintain the best standard in teaching. The college conducts placement drives in reputed universities like F.M. University, North Odisha University, Ravenshaw University, NIIT etc.

EntranceClass

We give the Special emphasis on making the students fundamental concepts of Science & Mathematics and on sharpening their analytical skills and parallel thinking process which makes them capable of creatively resolving complex and tricky problems by mere application of basic concepts for a quantum jump in their performance in JEE (Main & Advanced).

 

After that we also provide AAkash DLP course to the deserving candidate.

Doubt Clearing Class

Doubt clearing sessions are organized by us for those who feel any doubt in any topic. Our faculties try to increase the problem tackling capability of the students, starting from the very basic level and build up their confidence to face the competition. Students can bring any question from any topic which they are not able to do and we will discuss it in doubt clearing session.

Monthly Test

As everybody know that Monthly test is very important to judge the performance of the students, so the monthly test is always conducted by the college. In a specific day and a specific topic.

Boarding

The college offers a comfortable and homely atmosphere for the students. The students live under the guidance and care of a warden who performs the role that parents would at home. The students live in furnished rooms glass fitted window and are provided with all the facilities for modern living hostel. The college has its own kitchen room that serve healthy, delicious and nutritious food to the students. The menu is specially designed for students to the needs of growing of their health and both non-vegetarian and vegetarian food is available as per the choice of the students.

Sagar College has always been preparing students in a fundamental way. We focus to strengthen the basics on all subjects so that students of all standards can do well in +2 Council exam as well as in Engineering & Medical Entrance Exams as we believe that a strong base always builds high pillars of success . For the last 5 years our students have been securing good ranks in various Engineering & Medical Entrance Exams where admission to the colleges is based on Council and entrance marks. Individual attention is given to each and every student irrespective of one's standing in the merit at any point of time. We never increase our batch size beyond a limit. This facilities proper Faculty-Student interaction. Daily doubt clearing sessions in the evening are conducted in the hostels.
